With this, the number of protected <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/wetlands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ramsar sites<\/span> <\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in India has now gone up to 46.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>About <\/b><b>Sultanpur National Park:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Sultanpur National Park <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">situated in the Gurgaon district of Haryana. The park is spread across 353 acres.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The park is an\u00a0important<\/strong><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u00a0wetland<\/strong> <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that harbours rich plant and animal life. It supports more than 220 species of resident, winter migratory and local migratory waterbirds at critical stages of their life cycles.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>More than ten of these<\/strong> are globally threatened, including the critically endangered sociable lapwing.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>About <\/b><b>Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is located in the Jhajjar<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">district of Haryana. In 2009, it was declared as a bird sanctuary by the Indian Government.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>The sanctuary <\/b><b>is an important part<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the ecological corridor along the route of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sahibi River <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which traverses from <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aravalli hills<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Rajasthan to the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yamuna. The sanctuary is located just<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 1.5 km from <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Khaparwas Wildlife Sanctuary.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>The\u00a0sanctuary<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0is an important wetland<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that provides a safe habitat to numerous animals and plants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>A total of 265 species of birds <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have been reported from the site.
