What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Prime Minister (PM) of India has participated in \u2018Atmanirbhar Narishakti se Samvad\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Highlights from the Conference:<\/b><\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. During the Conference, <\/b>\u00a0the Prime Minister <\/span>interacted with women members of self help groups (SHGs) and community resource persons promoted under the <\/span>Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission(DAY-NRLM).<\/span><\/a><\/b><\/li>\n
  2. The PM also appreciated <\/b>the women Self-Help Groups<\/b> for their unprecedented services during the Covid-19 period. Such as SHGs contribution in making masks and sanitizers and providing food to the needy.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Further<\/b>, the PM also released funds to SHGs under <\/span>PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM FME) Scheme <\/span><\/a>and for <\/span>Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).<\/span><\/a><\/b><\/li>\n
  4. Moreover, <\/b>the PM also announced that now the limit for loans available to SHGs without guarantee has been doubled to Rs 20 lakh.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    About Self Help Groups(SHGs):<\/b><\/h5>\n
      \n
    1. Self-Help Groups (SHGs)<\/b> are small voluntary associations of poor people, who come together for the purpose of solving their common problems through self-help and mutual help.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. They can be defined as <\/b>a self governed, peer controlled information group of people with similar socio-economic background and having a desire to collectively perform common purpose.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Currently,\u00a0 <\/b>there are 70 lakh self help groups across the country which is more than three times the figure during 6-7 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
