{"id":126649,"date":"2021-08-17T17:24:27","date_gmt":"2021-08-17T11:54:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=126649"},"modified":"2021-08-17T19:06:11","modified_gmt":"2021-08-17T13:36:11","slug":"defence-testing-infrastructure-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/defence-testing-infrastructure-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Source:<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/PressReleseDetail.aspx?PRID=1746365\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b> PIB<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to boost domestic defence and aerospace manufacturing, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has launched the Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS).<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>About Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS):<\/b><\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Launched by:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Ministry of Defence in 2020.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To create a state-of-the-art testing infrastructure in partnership with the private industry.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h5><b>Key Features of the Scheme:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li><b>Target: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme aims to set up 6-8 Greenfield Defence Testing Infrastructure facilities that are required for defence and aerospace-related production.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A greenfield project is one that is not constrained by prior work. It is constructed on unused land where there is no need <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to remodel or demolish an existing structure.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Funding:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The projects under the scheme will be provided with up to 75% Government funding in the form of \u2018Grant-in-Aid\u2019.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>The remaining 25%<\/strong> of the project cost will have to be borne by the Special Purpose Vehicle(SPV). The SPV constituents will be the Indian private entities and state governments.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Duration of the Scheme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Five Years.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB What is the News?
