The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued notification for ‘Electronic Monitoring and Enforcement of Road Safety.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are Electronic Enforcement devices used for?<\/b><\/h5>\n

  1. Electronic Enforcement devices <\/b>are devices used by the authorities to <\/span>monitor traffic movements and also to issue challan against offences.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    What do the rules say on the use of <\/b>Electronic Enforcement devices?<\/b><\/h5>\n
      \n
    1. The rules<\/b> specify the detailed provisions<\/b> for the placement of electronic enforcement devices.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. According to the rules<\/b>, state governments shall ensure that electronic enforcement devices are placed at the following locations.<\/span>\n
        \n
      1. High-risk and high-density corridors on the National Highways and state highways\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. At critical junctions at least in major cities with more than one million population\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Also in 132 cities specified by the ministry.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
