What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The Ministry of Rural Development has launched a new geospatial planning portal named\u00a0 \u2018Yuktdhara\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Yuktdhara Portal:<\/b><\/h5>\n
    \n
  1. Yuktdhara<\/b> is a <\/span>geospatial planning portal<\/span> under <\/span>Bhuvan<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Purpose: <\/b>The portal <\/span>will help in facilitating new MGNREGA assets using remote sensing and geographic information system-based data.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Developed by:<\/b> The portal is a <\/span>culmination of joint efforts of the<\/span> Indian Space Research Organisation<\/b> (ISRO) and the <\/span>Ministry of Rural Development<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Name: <\/b>The name of the portal<\/span> is very apt as the word \u2018Yukt\u2019 is derived from Yojanam, indicates the planning and \u2018Dhara\u2019 indicates the flow.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Key Features of the Portal:<\/b><\/h5>\n
      \n
    1. The portal will serve as a repository of assets (geotags) <\/b>created under the various National Rural Development Programmes, such as MGNREGA<\/a>, Per Drop More Crop Programmes, Integrated Watershed Management Programme and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. It will integrate a wide variety of <\/b>thematic layers, multi-temporal high-resolution earth observation data with the analysis tool.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Planners will be able to analyse previous assets <\/b>under various schemes and facilitate the identification of new works using online tools.
