{"id":128500,"date":"2021-08-25T19:24:37","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T13:54:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=128500"},"modified":"2021-08-26T18:21:19","modified_gmt":"2021-08-26T12:51:19","slug":"govt-launches-the-booklet-on-one-year-achievement-and-some-major-initiatives-of-nep-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/govt-launches-the-booklet-on-one-year-achievement-and-some-major-initiatives-of-nep-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt launches the booklet on one-year achievement and some major initiatives of NEP- 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Source:<\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1748543\"><b> PIB<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union Education and Skill Development Minister and Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment has jointly launched the booklet on One-year New Education Policy (NEP) &#8211; 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Initiatives launched during the event:<\/b><\/h5>\n<h5><b>About Priya:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Priya is an accessibility booklet <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">developed by the NCERT and Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Purpose: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The booklet will sensitize the students on accessibility-related issues for Divyangs (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">persons with disabilities)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Moreover, special emphasis <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has been laid to make the booklet simple, interesting and interactive to create awareness on accessibility in children right from their formative years.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>About Virtual School of NIOS:<\/b><\/h5>\n<ol>\n<li><b><b>Virtual School <\/b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country that will allow millions of eligible students outside the school system to complete their studies without physically attending a brick-and-mortar school.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Implementation: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The virtual school <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be implemented via the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). It will be <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">entirely digital in nature.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Coverage: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The students in Classes 9 to 12 will have options to join a virtual school.
