IIT Ropar\u2019s startup company has developed a living plant-based air purifier, \u201cUbreathe Life<\/strong>” that amplifies the air purification process in indoor spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ubreathe Life <\/b>is the <\/span>world\u2019s first, state-of-the-art \u2018Smart Bio-Filter<\/strong>\u2019 that can purify the air.<\/span><\/p>\n

It amplifies the air purification process <\/b>in indoor spaces. These indoor spaces can either be hospitals, schools, offices and your homes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who developed Ubreathe Life?<\/b><\/p>\n

It has been developed at IIT Ropar, which is a designated iHub – <\/span>AWaDH (Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub)<\/span><\/a> of the Department of Science and Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n

How does Ubreathe Life work?<\/b><\/p>\n

The technology works<\/b> through the air-purifying natural leafy plant. The room air interacts with leaves and goes to the soil-root zone where maximum pollutants are purified.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The technology used in this product<\/b> is the \u2018Urban Munnar Effect<\/strong>\u2019 along with patent-pending \u201cBreathing Roots<\/strong>” to exponentially amplify the phytoremediation<\/strong> process of the plants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Note: Phytoremediation<\/b> is a process by which plants effectively remove pollutants from the air.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the significance of the device?<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2018Ubreathe Life\u2019 effectively improves indoor air quality<\/strong> by removing particulate, gaseous, and biological contaminants while increasing the oxygen levels in the indoor spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is done through specific plants, UV disinfection, and a stack of Pre-filter, Charcoal filter, and <\/span>HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter <\/span><\/a>fitted in a specially designed wooden box.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
