Indian Railways has rolled out the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) over 156 Health facilities across Indian Railways.<\/span><\/p>\n About <\/b>Hospital Management Information System(HMIS)<\/b><\/p>\n Objective: <\/b>HMIS is an initiative of Indian Railways to bring the entire Railway Health System on a single architecture to provide faster, seamless and hassle free healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n Implemented by:<\/b> RailTel- a miniratna PSU of Ministry of Railways and C-DAC under Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n Key Features of HMIS:<\/b><\/p>\n HMIS will cover clinical care such as labs, Pharmacies as well as Hospital Administration.<\/span><\/p>\n A mobile app has also been developed which enables the patients to access their Electronic Medical Record (EMR) from anywhere.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Moreover, features like teleconsultation, lab report access, medicines disbursed to patients have also been provided through this app.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This system is also fully integrable with the<\/span> National Digital Health Mission<\/a><\/strong> program of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.<\/span><\/p>\n Significance<\/b>:<\/span><\/p>\n This will bring improvement in patient care and patient services to approximately 10 million Railway health beneficiaries.<\/span><\/p>\n Source: <\/b>T<\/span>his post is based on the article \u201c<\/span>Indian Railways rolls out Hospital Management Information System(HMIS)\u201d<\/b> published in <\/span>PIB<\/b> on <\/span>3rd September 2021<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
