Key Provisions of the bill<\/b><\/p>\n

Reservation for Local Candidates: <\/b>The Bill <\/span>provides for 75% reservation to local residents in private sector jobs with monthly salaries up to Rs 40,000.<\/span><\/p>\n

Definition of Private Sector:<\/b> The bill treats shops, establishments, mines, enterprises, industries, companies, societies, trusts, Limited Liability Partnership firms and any person employing 10 or more people in the private sector as an entity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Designated Portal: <\/b>The Bill says that employers need to register themselves on a designated portal about employees who are receiving a gross monthly salary or wages not more than Rs 40,000 within three months after the Bill is enacted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Definition of Local Candidate<\/b>: The Bill defines a local candidate as a person who belongs to Jharkhand and is registered on the designated portal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Significance of the bill:<\/b><\/p>\n

Once enacted,\u00a0 Jharkhand will become the third state<\/strong> \u2014 after Andhra Pradesh and Haryana \u2014 having a law providing for reservation in private sector jobs for local residents.<\/span><\/p>\n
