The key findings were:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Firstly, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">90% of the farmers said that the stubble <strong>decomposed within 15-20 days<\/strong>, whereas it would previously take 40-50 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Secondly,<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">after using Pusa-bio decomposer, the soil needs to be <strong>ploughed only once or twice<\/strong>, opposed to earlier 6-7 times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Thirdly,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the <strong>organic carbon content in the soil increased<\/strong> to 40 per cent as the stubble ended up becoming manure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Fourthly,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the <strong>soil-nitrogen levels increased by 24%<\/strong>, helpful bacteria content increased seven times and fungal content increased threefold.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0This post is based on the article \u201c<\/span><b>Centre should direct States to use bio-decomposer: CM\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published in <\/span><b>The Hindu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on <\/span><b>13th September 2021.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the News?
