India has announced that it will hold the India-Africa Defence Dialogue<\/strong> alongside DefExpos once every two years.<\/span><\/p>\n The first-ever India Africa Defence Ministers Conclave (IADMC)<\/strong> was held in Lucknow<\/strong>, Uttar Pradesh<\/strong> in conjunction with DefExpo in 2020<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n It was co-organised by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of External Affairs<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A Joint Declaration, \u2018Lucknow Declaration<\/strong>\u2019 was adopted after the conclusion of IADMC 2020 as an outcome document.<\/span><\/p>\n India has proposed to make the <\/span>India-Africa Defence Dialogue<\/strong> a<\/span> regular event by holding it along with the DefExpo military exhibition, which is held every two years.<\/span><\/p>\n The dialogue will help build on existing partnerships between African countries & India and will explore new areas of convergence for mutual engagements.<\/span><\/p>\n Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses<\/strong> shall be the knowledge partner<\/strong> of the India-Africa Defence Dialogue.<\/span><\/p>\n Who will host the upcoming <\/b>India-Africa Defence Dialogue?<\/b><\/p>\n India\u2019s Defence Minister will host the next India \u2013 Africa Defence Dialogue on the sidelines of the DefExpo that is scheduled to be held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat in March 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The broad theme of the Dialogue will be \u2018India \u2013 Africa: Adopting Strategy for Synergizing and Strengthening Defence and Security Cooperation<\/strong>\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n Source:<\/b> This post is based on the article \u201c<\/span>India\u2013Africa Defence Dialogue to be held alongside every DefExpo<\/b>\u201d <\/b>published in<\/span> PIB <\/b>on <\/span>13th September 2021.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
