{"id":134454,"date":"2021-09-16T19:14:12","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T13:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=134454"},"modified":"2021-09-17T18:54:07","modified_gmt":"2021-09-17T13:24:07","slug":"pm-launches-sansad-tv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/pm-launches-sansad-tv\/","title":{"rendered":"PM launches Sansad TV"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Prime Minister of India has launched Sansad TV on the occasion of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International Day of Democracy.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>About Sansad TV<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sansad TV has been formed by merging the two parliamentarian channels Lok Sabha TV and Rajya Sabha TV.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The merger was done based on the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recommendations of a committee <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">formed in 2019 under <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">former Prasar Bharati Chairman Surya Prakash<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The channel will primarily be in four categories &#8212; functioning of Parliament and democratic institutions, governance and implementation of schemes\/policies, history and culture of India and issues\/interests\/concerns of contemporary nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The budget of Sansad TV will be shared jointly by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
