{"id":13525,"date":"2020-02-06T15:32:16","date_gmt":"2020-02-06T10:02:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=13525"},"modified":"2020-02-06T15:32:16","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T10:02:16","slug":"international-seafood-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/international-seafood-show\/","title":{"rendered":"International Seafood Show"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>The 22nd edition of India international seafood show(IISS) will be held in Kochi,Kerala from 7 to 9 February 2020.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Seafood Show:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It is a biennial show which is organised once every two years.<\/li><li>It is organized by the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) in association with the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI).<\/li><li>Theme:Blue Revolution- Beyond Production to Value Addition.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional Information&nbsp;<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About MPEDA:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It was established in 1972 through the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) Act 1972 under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.<\/li><li>It is the nodal agency for the holistic development of the seafood industry in India.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About SEAI:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI) was established in 1973 as an organisation registered under the Registrar of Companies Act, 1956.<\/li><li>It aims to protect and promote the interests of the seafood industry and develop the international trade of seafood from India.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fish Production in India:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>India is currently the second largest producer of fisheries.It is also world number two in aquaculture production as well as in inland capture fisheries.<\/li><li>In 2017-18, Andhra Pradesh topped the Indian States in Inland fisheries followed by West Bengal.Gujarat was ranked number one in marine fisheries.<\/li><li>The contribution of fisheries to the Gross Domestic Product is about 1% and about 5.37% to the Agricultural GDP.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:The 22nd edition of India international seafood show(IISS) will be held in Kochi,Kerala from 7 to 9 February 2020.&nbsp; Facts: About the Seafood Show: It is a biennial show which is organised once every two years.
