The Prime Minister has addressed the 81st edition of his monthly radio programme <\/span>Mann ki Baat<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Around 355 crore<\/span> Unified Payments Interface (UPI) <\/span><\/a>transactions took place in August 2021. On average, digital payments of more than \u20b92 trillion are happening through UPI.<\/span><\/p>\n National Payments Corp. of India<\/strong>(NPCI) which oversees the digital payments ecosystem in the country has launched<\/span> e-RUPI<\/span><\/a>, a voucher-based payments system to promote cashless transactions.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Namami Gange programme <\/span><\/a>was approved in 2014 for making river Ganga pollution-free and conserving and restoring it.<\/span><\/p>\n Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was launched to commemorate 75 years of India\u2019s independence.
