The National Commission for Women(NCW)<\/strong> has launched a countrywide training and capacity building programme for women in dairy farming.<\/span><\/p>\n The programme aims to empower women and help them achieve financial independence by training them in the quality enhancement of dairy products.<\/span><\/p>\n As part of the programme, the NCW is collaborating with agricultural universities all across India to identify and train women associated with dairy farming in different aspects such as value addition, quality enhancement, packaging and marketing of dairy products among others.<\/span><\/p>\n About NCW<\/b><\/p>\n The<\/span> National Commission for Women <\/span>was set up as a statutory body in January 1992 under the <\/span>National Commission for Women Act,1990.<\/span><\/p>\n Aim: <\/b>To strive towards enabling women to achieve equality and equal participation in all spheres of life by securing their due rights and entitlements through suitable policy formulation, legislative measures, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n Composition:<\/b> The commission consists of a chairperson, a member secretary and five other members.
