The National Health Authority (NHA), the apex body for implementing Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), has revised the Health Benefit Package (HBP) Master under the scheme.<\/p>\n
In the revised version of the <\/span>Health Benefit Package (HBP 2.2<\/span><\/b>), new packages have been added to cover more disease conditions and regular rates of the packages are revised to provide better healthcare services. <\/span><\/p>\n Apart from that, one new additional medical management package related to black fungus has also been added. The<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>revised packages for oncology will enhance cancer care for the beneficiaries in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The rationalised HBP will further improve the uptake of schemes in private hospitals, leading to reduced out-of-pocket expenditure.<\/p>\n The HBP 2.2 is expected to be rolled out from November this year.<\/p>\n Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana(PMJAY)<\/strong> was launched in 2018, as per <\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>National Health Policy 2017<\/span><\/b>, to achieve the\u00a0<\/span>vision of\u00a0Universal Health Coverage (UHC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n It is an umbrella scheme under Ayushman Bharat.
