{"id":14223,"date":"2020-03-12T16:07:47","date_gmt":"2020-03-12T10:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=14223"},"modified":"2020-03-12T16:07:47","modified_gmt":"2020-03-12T10:37:47","slug":"new-hub-under-national-mission-on-interdisciplinary-cyber-physical-systems","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/new-hub-under-national-mission-on-interdisciplinary-cyber-physical-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"New Hub Under National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Department of Science and Technology (DST) has decided to establish a Technology Innovation Hub(TIH) at IIT Mandi under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Hub:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Aim:<\/strong>To<strong> <\/strong>focus on human-computer interaction(HCI) research where projects will focus on design and development of computer technology (interfaces) and the study of interaction between humans(users) and computers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Cyber Physical Systems(CPS):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cyber Physical Systems(CPS) are a new class of engineered systems that integrate computation and physical processes in a dynamic environment.<\/li><li>It encompasses technology areas of Cybernetics, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) among others.<\/li><li>The potential applications are a) Driverless cars that communicate securely with each other on smart roads b) Sensors in the home to detect changing health conditions among others.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About NM-ICPS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Launched in 2018 by the Department of Science &amp; Technology for a period of five years.<\/li><li><strong>Aim:<\/strong>To create a seamless ecosystem for CPS by coordinating and integrating nationwide efforts encompassing knowledge generation, human resource development, research, technology, innovation and commercialization.<\/li><li>Under this, Technology Innovation Hubs (TIH), Application Innovation Hubs(AIH) and Technology Translation Research Parks(TTRP) will be established.<\/li><li>These hubs will connect to Academics, Industry, Central Ministries and State Government in developing solutions at reputed academic, R&amp;D and other organizations across the country in a hub and spoke model.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News:Department of Science and Technology (DST) has decided to establish a Technology Innovation Hub(TIH) at IIT Mandi under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS).
