They raised their concerns over the presence of Central Asian terror groups within Afghanistan and along their borders.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>What is India&#8217;s relation with Central Asian countries?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>India&#8217;s <strong>Connect Central Asia policy<\/strong> is aimed at furthering India\u2019s political, economic, historical and cultural connections with the region. India signed the <strong>Strategic Partnership Agreements (SPA)<\/strong> with Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to stimulate defence cooperation and deepen trade relations.<\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\"><strong>Read more:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/india-and-central-asia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">India and Central Asia<\/a><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h5><strong>Recent developments in India-Central Asia relations<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>To secure its interests in Afghanistan and push for an inclusive regime, India&#8217;s <strong>External Affair Minister<\/strong> (EAM) visited <strong>Kyrgyzstan<\/strong>, <strong>Kazakhstan<\/strong> and <strong>Armenia<\/strong>, which are India\u2019s key partners in Central Asia and Eurasia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kyrgyzstan<\/strong>: India extended a credit line of $200 million for the support of development projects. It also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on<strong> High-Impact Community Development Projects<\/strong> (HICDP).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kazakhstan<\/strong>: Indian EAM attended the 6th Foreign Ministers\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/jaishankar-urges-cica-foreign-ministers-to-ensure-afghan-soil-not-used-for-supporting-terrorism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures(CICA)<\/a>. In this, he targeted China&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/belt-and-road-initiative-bri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)<\/a>\u00a0 and its method to promote parochial interests. He also criticized Pakistan for its support towards cross-border terrorism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Armenia: <\/strong>Both countries agreed to enhance trade and cultural exchanges to boost bilateral relations.
