The Government has constituted a 20-member Empowered Group of Secretaries to monitor the development and implementation of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP).<\/span><\/p>\n Click Here to read about PM Gati Shakti<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Chaired by:<\/b>\u00a0It<\/span>\u00a0is a 20 member body chaired by the Cabinet Secretary.<\/span><\/p>\n Members<\/b>: It will include the chairman of the Railway Board and secretaries from various ministries as its members.<\/span><\/p>\n Secretariat:<\/b> The Logistics division in the Department of Commerce will act as the Secretariat to the Group.<\/span><\/p>\n The mandate of EGoS:<\/b> The terms of reference for the Empowered Group are,<\/span><\/p>\n -Review and monitor implementation of the NMP to ascertain the logistics efficiency,<\/span><\/p>\n -Adopt a framework for undertaking any amendments to the NMP,<\/span><\/p>\n -Coordinate any changes to the projects already included in the NMP,<\/span><\/p>\n -Set a timeframe for synchronisation of various activities for construction of roads, railways along with all utility services in an area-based approach,<\/span><\/p>\n -Issue appropriate directions for achieving the objectives under NMP,<\/span><\/p>\n -Address demand-side requirements such as transporting bulk goods based on the requirement of various ministries.<\/span><\/p>\n Source:<\/b> This post is based on the article <\/span>\u201c<\/b>GoI constitutes 20-member Empowered Group of Secretaries to monitor development and implementation of the PM Gati Shakti NMP<\/b>\u201d <\/b>published in<\/span> PIB on 1st November 2021.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
