Recently, on the 8th Istanbul summit, the Council of Turkic States has been elevated to \u201cOrganisation of Turkic States<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n In 1992, the then Turkish President convened the first Turkish summit<\/strong> with some central Asian states.<\/p>\n In 2009, the annual summit with the inner Asian states was converted into a Council of Turkic States<\/strong>. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan joined Turkey as founding members.\u00a0It was hailed as the \u201cfirst voluntary alliance of the Turkic states in history<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n During the Istanbul summit, the forum has been elevated to an \u201cOrganisation of Turkic States<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n Joining of new members and observers<\/strong>: Uzbekistan joined the organisation at the Istanbul Summit. Hungary and Turkmenistan have joined the organisation as observer nations.<\/p>\n Adopted a vision document \u201cTurkish World 2040\u201d<\/strong>: The document aims to guide the organisation\u2019s efforts to develop intensive cooperation among its members and contribute vigorously to regional and international security.<\/p>\n With the formation of OTS, Turkey is determined to rewrite the geopolitics of Eurasia<\/a>. The potential of OTS includes 1. Could become an economic and political community like the European Union, 2. Could emerge as an \u201cArmy of Turan\u201d, 3.
