The order had rejected the plea of a devotee to look into irregularities in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rituals<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the Venkateswara Swamy Vaari Temple at Tirupati.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>How did the Supreme Court responded to this petition?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Supreme Court <strong>dismissed the petition<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The court said that the constitutional courts could not interfere with the day-to-day rituals performed in temples.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Religious scholars and priests were best equipped to answer whether rituals in temples were being conducted in accordance with customs and traditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/article-32-of-indian-constitution\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">writ jurisdiction of a constitutional court under Articles 226 and 32<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was limited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence, whether a particular ritual was being performed in the right way or not was a disputed question of fact.
