Ahead of the Russian President visit to India, Defence Acquisition Council(DAC) has approved the deal for the manufacture of AK-203 assault rifles in India. Another deal likely to make progress is for Igla-S Very Short Range Air Defence (VSHORAD) systems. However, the Ka-226T utility helicopter deal is unlikely to be cleared.<\/span><\/p>\n AK-203 is an assault rifle designed by Russia. It is considered to be the latest and most advanced version of the AK-47 rifle. <\/span>They will be replacing the Indian Small Arms System(INSAS) rifles.<\/span><\/p>\n Features: <\/b>The AK-203 <\/span>rifle is reliable, durable and easy to maintain. It also has better ergonomics, accuracy and density of fire.
