It is considered native to North America but is now found in all continents except Antarctica.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The snail is small in size with a striking, pellucid, golden-yellow shell. It can also easily be identified by its sinistral (left-opening aperture) shell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its good looks make this snail a favourite of aquariums. However, special care should be taken while dealing with this snail and it should not be kept in home aquariums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was first reported in India in the early 1990s. It has been reported for the first time in Kerala.
