The Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana \u2013 Gramin (PMAY-G) beyond March 2021 and till March 2024. <\/span>This will ensure that the remaining households with the overall target of 2.95 crore gets completed.<\/p>\n Further, the phasing out of Extra Budgetary resources (EBR) and provision of entire scheme funding through gross budgetary support (GBS) shall also be decided in consultation with the ministry of finance.<\/p>\n Some Key Features of the scheme:<\/p>\n – Provision of <\/span>assistance for construction of toilets<\/b> through SBM-G<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, MGNREGA<\/a><\/strong><\/span> or any other dedicated source of funding.<\/span><\/p>\n – Facilitating willing beneficiaries to avail loan from Financial Institutions <\/b>for an amount of up to Rs 70,000.<\/span><\/p>\n – Earmarking for focus groups –<\/b> 60% of the funds are earmarked for SC\/ST and 15% for minorities.
