NASA has launched a new mission named Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPE). The mission was launched from SpaceX\u2019s Falcon 9 rocket.<\/span><\/p>\n IXPE observatory is a joint effort of NASA<\/strong> and the Italian Space Agency<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Aim:<\/b> To study the most extreme and mysterious objects in the universe \u2013 supernova remnants, supermassive black holes, and dozens of other high-energy objects.<\/span><\/p>\n Duration:<\/b> The mission’s duration is 2 years<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n Instruments used:<\/b> IXPE carries three state-of-the-art space telescopes. Each of the three telescopes hosts one light-weight X-ray mirror and one detector unit.
