Outward orientation: <\/span><\/b>An Openness to trade and investment<\/span> which fuelled garment sector growth in the country.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Policy continuity: <\/span><\/b>Bangladesh has better macroeconomic indicators than India.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Before Pandemic, India\u2019s general government deficit was about twice Bangladesh\u2019s.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, also, its debt-to-GDP ratio is just 38% while that of India\u2019s is 90%.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Involvement of NGOs and civil society<\/span><\/b>: The areas where the government couldn\u2019t provide the required services, were covered by active involvement of Civil society and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). This led<\/span> to inclusion and development.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most of these factors have not been an explicit outcome of Bangladesh\u2019s developmental policy but mere realities that the Nation came into existence with.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>However, India can still learn how Bangladesh has put to use its strengths and weaknesses to carve a niche development story of its own.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
