The Government has released the results of the first round of the Quarterly Employment Survey for the period April to June 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n Note: <\/b>QES is part of the All-India Quarterly Establishment Based Employment Survey (AQEES).<\/span><\/p>\n Released by:<\/b> Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour and Employment\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Purpose:<\/strong> To <\/span>provide frequent (quarterly) updates about the employment and related variables of establishments, in both organised and unorganised segments, of nine selected sectors. These sectors altogether account for a majority of the total employment in the non-farm establishments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Nine Selected Sectors: <\/b>Manufacturing, Construction, Trade, Transport, Education, Health, Accommodation and Restaurant, IT\/ BPO and Financial Services.<\/span><\/p>\n Components<\/b>: \u200b\u200bThere are two components under AQEES,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Quarterly Employment Survey(QES):<\/b> It compiles relevant data from about 12,000 establishments selected through a sampling design to represent each of the nine sectors within each state\/ Union Territory, as also each size-class (range of the number of workers) within each sector-State\/ UT.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Area Frame Establishment Survey (AFES):<\/b> It covers the unorganised segment (with less than 10 workers) through a sample survey.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nWhat is the All-India Quarterly Establishment Based Employment Survey (AQEES)?<\/b><\/h5>\n
