Union Health Secretary has <\/span>chaired<\/span> a workshop with <\/span>all States and UTs<\/span> to review the rollout of vaccination for the age group 15-18<\/strong> and Precautionary<\/strong><\/span> 3rd dose<\/strong> for: Healthcare workers (HCW), Frontline workers (FLW) and those in the 60+ age group who have comorbidity.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the new guidelines released related to new vaccination plans for Covid-19?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Vaccination for 15-18 Age Group: <\/b>Those <\/span>with a birth<\/span> year of 2007 or <\/span>before will be <\/span>eligible for vaccination under this categor<\/span>y.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only \u2018Covaxin<\/strong>\u2019 is to be administered in this population category<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Potential beneficiaries can either register themselves on Co-WIN from the 1<\/span>st<\/span> of January, 2022 or avail of a walk-in registration when vaccination commences from the 3<\/span>rd<\/span> of January.<\/span><\/p>\n

Precautionary Dose: <\/b>For the Beneficiary to be eligible, 9 month (39 weeks) must have elapsed since the administration of the 2nd dose.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prescriptions\/certificates of Doctors are NOT mandated to be produced for administration of the precautionary dose.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CoWIN will send reminder messages to all those eligible for Precaution dose. Moreover, precaution dose will also be reflected in the digital vaccination certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n
