The Ministry of Education\u2019s innovation cell released the <\/span>Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2021.<\/b><\/p>\n Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements(ARIIA) is a policy initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE) implemented through AICTE and Innovation Cell.<\/span><\/p>\n Aim<\/b>: To systematically rank all major higher educational institutions and universities in India.<\/span><\/p>\n Parameters: <\/b>The various parameters considered in ARIIA for ranking are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Budget & Funding Support<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Infrastructure & Facilities<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Awareness, Promotions & support for Idea Generation & Innovation<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Promotion & Support for Entrepreneurship Development<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Innovative Learning Methods & Courses<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Intellectual Property Generation, Technology Transfer & Commercialization<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0<\/b><\/span>Innovation in Governance of the Institution.<\/p>\n Categories:<\/b> The rankings were made under two categories: Technical and Non-Technical.<\/span><\/p>\n T<\/b>he technical category included 5 sub-categories-<\/b><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/b>Central Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), Central University, & Institute of National Importance<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/b>State University & Deemed University (Govt. & Govt. Aided)<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/b>Govt. College\/Institution (Govt. & Govt. Aided)<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 \u00a0<\/b>University & Deemed University (Self-Finance\/Private)<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/b>Private College\/Institute (Self-Finance\/Private)<\/span><\/p>\n The non technical category included two sub-categories-<\/b><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/b>Central Funded Institutes (CFIs)\/Central University\/Institute of National Importance (Non-Technical)<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/b>General (Non-Technical)<\/span><\/p>\n Institute of National Importance, Central Universities & CFTIs:<\/b> \u00a0<\/b>IIT Madras has secured the first rank.
