The Ministry of Science and Technology has launched several initiatives in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n Some of them are:<\/b><\/p>\n India\u2019s ranking in global S&T indices continues to rise<\/b><\/p>\n India has risen to the 46th position, featuring within the top 50 innovative economies globally as per <\/span>Global Innovation Index(GII).<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n India remains among the top 3 countries <\/span>in scientific publication as per the NSF database.<\/span><\/p>\n India has also reached <\/span>3rd Position in terms of no of PhDs, in size of Higher Education System; as well as in terms of number of Startups.<\/span><\/p>\n National Supercomputer Mission (NSM)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n GATI<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Women Scientists Scheme<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Saffron Cultivation in the Northeast<\/b>: Saffron Cultivation was <\/span>so far confined to parts of Kashmir. The Northeast saw the successful cultivation of saffron for the first time in the Yangang village of South Sikkim.
