But the bridge would significantly bring down the time for People\u2019s Liberation Army (PLA) to move troops and equipment between the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">two sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bridge <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is located <strong>around 25 kms ahead of the Line of Actual Control (LAC)<\/strong> and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is just east of Khurnak Fort in Rutog county <em>(Historically a part of India, Khurnak Fort has been under Chinese control since 1958).\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>India-China Dispute on Pangong Tso Lake<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"n3VNCb alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/img\/78118040\/Master.jpg?resize=548%2C308&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"5-point solution, but 27 &amp;#39;points of dispute between India and China - Times of India\" width=\"548\" height=\"308\" data-noaft=\"1\" \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pangong Tso is an <strong>endorheic lake<\/strong>. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India holds just 1\/3<sup>rd<\/sup> of the lake.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lake has mountain spurs of the <strong>Chang Chenmo range<\/strong> jetting down referred to as fingers which are divided 8 parts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chinese say that the Line of Actual Control(LAC) is at finger 4. But, India\u2019s perceived LAC is at finger 8.
