Gig economy can help in\u202f<\/span>process of empowerment of women<\/span><\/b>\u202fin India in following ways:\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gig employment allows\u202f<\/span>part-time work<\/span><\/b>\u202fand\u202f<\/span>flexible working hours<\/span><\/b>\u202fwhich allows women to\u202f<\/span>balance<\/span><\/b>\u202ftheir\u202f<\/span>traditional roles<\/span><\/b>\u202f(homemakers\u202fand care giver)\u00a0with employment.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Gig employment complemented by work-from-home (WFH) and technology has\u202f<\/span>addressed the issue of safety during travel and night shifts.<\/span><\/b>\u202fAlso, new employment opportunities for women in tier 2 and 3 cities have emerged.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n

There is also lack of certainty regarding availability of work\u00a0and stability of career.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
