The Prime Minister has inaugurated the <\/span>25th National Youth Festival(NYF) hosted by the Union Territory of Puducherry.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the National Youth Festival(NYF)?<\/b><\/h5>\n

National Youth Festival is an annual gathering of youth with various activities including competitive ones.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival has been conducted since the year 1995. It is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Objective:<\/b> To provide a platform to bring the youth of the country together in an attempt to provide them with the opportunity to showcase their talents in various activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organized by:<\/b> Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports<\/strong> in collaboration with one of the State Governments.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the key highlights of the PM’s address?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Firstly<\/b>, he has <\/span>issued a call to the country\u2019s youth to adopt the motto of \u201ccompete and conquer\u201d as their guiding principle in life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly<\/b>, he said that the evolution of the start-up ecosystem that had grown to over 50,000 units reflected the \u201ccan-do\u201d spirit of the youth of today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thirdly,<\/b> the sense of social responsibility is shown by the youngsters(in the 15-18 age group) in volunteering for COVID-19 vaccination has led to coverage in excess of 2 crore children in a short span of time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fourthly, <\/b>he quoted Sri Aurobindo<\/strong><\/a> words, that \u201ca brave, frank, clean hearted, courageous and aspiring youth is the only foundation on which the future nation can be built\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fifthly<\/b>, he also said that the nation\u2019s youth were not only a \u201cdemographic dividend<\/a>\u201d but \u201cdrivers of development\u201d and proponents of democratic values.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly,<\/b> he gave a call to the youth to espouse a \u201cvocal for local\u201d motto as a fitting tribute to the great sons that the country had produced.<\/span><\/p>\n
