This is because buyers of EVs are unable to access low-interest rates and long loan tenures for EVs as banks are concerned about resale value and product quality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence, to solve these financing challenges in EVs:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>&#8211;<\/strong> RBI can consider including Electric Vehicles in Reserve Bank of India\u2019s priority sector lending (PSL) guidelines. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This inclusion can provide a <strong>strong regulatory incentive<\/strong> for banks and NBFCs to scale their financing to EVs.
