Department Of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry Of Jal Shakti has taken several initiatives in the year 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n Ken-Betwa River Interlinking Project<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Dam Safety Bill (now Act), 2021<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY)\u00a0<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Atal Bhujal Yojana<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project(DRIP)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Central Water Commission:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n It is a technical organization that functions as part of the Ministry of Jal Shakti. They are entrusted with the responsibilities of providing consultation to various state governments on water bodies related issues, coordinating various government schemes for conservation, control, and utilization of water resources.<\/span><\/p>\n The Commission also helps state governments in devising and analyzing flood control measures. They undertake flash flood forecasts as well.<\/span><\/p>\n National Aquifer Mapping and Management Programme<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Central Ground Water Board (CGWB)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n National Water Informatics Center(NWIC):<\/b> It is created as a subordinate office under the Ministry of Jal Shakti in 2018. The center provides timely and reliable water resources data acquisition, storage, collation & management and provides tools for informed decision-making for the management of water resources of the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Minor Irrigation Census: <\/b>It is <\/span>conducted under the centrally sponsored scheme \u201cIrrigation Census\u201d with 100% central funding. It is conducted once in five years.
