The <\/span>Legislative Department,<\/span> Ministry of Law and Justice has taken several initiatives in the year 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n Election Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021\u00a0<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Institute of Legislative Drafting and Research (ILDR): <\/b>Legislative drafting is a specialized job which involves drafting skills and expertise. Apart from in-depth knowledge of laws and their regular updation, continuous and sustainable efforts are required to enhance the skills of legislative drafting.<\/span><\/p>\n Hence, with a view to increase the availability of trained Legislative Counsel in the county, this Institute was established as a Wing of the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law and Justice in 1989. The institute offers courses and programmes in Legislative Drafting to government officials of Central and State, and also to students of law.<\/span><\/p>\n India Code Information System (ICIS): <\/b>I<\/span>t is a one-stop digital repository of all the Central and State Legislation, including their respective subordinate legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n It has been developed with the help of the National Informatics Centre(NIC) under the guidance of the Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department). It is an important step in ensuring the legal empowerment of all citizens, as well as the object of ONE NATION \u2014 ONE PLATFORM.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Official Language Wing<\/b>: It has published the Constitution of India.
