The Prime Minister has addressed the high-level segment of the One Ocean Summit.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>One Ocean summit<\/span> is being organised by France in cooperation with the United Nations and the World Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n The objective of the summit is to mobilise the international community to take tangible action towards preserving and supporting healthy and sustainable ocean ecosystems.<\/span><\/p>\n Note: <\/b>The United Nations has declared the decade between 2021 and 2030 as the ‘Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development’ to raise awareness and restore declining marine life.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n India has always been a maritime civilization. India\u2019s ancient scriptures and literature talk about the gifts of the oceans, including marine life.<\/span><\/p>\n India\u2019s security and prosperity are linked to oceans.
