The Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of the capacity development (CD) scheme till March 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n Nodal Ministry:<\/b> Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation<\/span><\/p>\n Type:<\/b> Central Sector Scheme<\/span><\/p>\n Aim: <\/b>To augment infrastructural, technical as well as manpower resources for enabling availability of credible and timely official statistics.<\/span><\/p>\n Sub-Schemes: <\/b>The <\/span>scheme comprises two sub schemes:<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/span>Support for Statistical Strengthening (SSS):<\/b> It aims to improve the statistical capacity and operations of State Statistical Systems for collecting, compiling and disseminating reliable official statistics.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 <\/span>Economic Census: <\/b>It gives the complete count of all non-farm economic establishments located within the geographical boundary of India.
