The Union Cabinet has approved the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).<\/span><\/p>\n Nodal Ministry:<\/b> Ministry of Health and Family Welfare<\/span><\/p>\n Type:<\/b> Central Sector Scheme<\/span><\/p>\n Aim: <\/b>To create a seamless online platform through the provision of a wide range of data, information and infrastructure services. It will also ensure the security, confidentiality and privacy of health-related personal information.<\/span><\/p>\n Implementing Agency: <\/b>National Health Authority (NHA)<\/span><\/p>\n Key Feature of the Mission: <\/b>Under the mission, citizens will be able to create their <\/span>ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) numbers<\/b>, to which their digital health records can be linked.This will enable creation of longitudinal health records for individuals across various healthcare providers, and improve clinical decision making by healthcare providers.<\/span><\/p>\n Firstly,<\/b> it will improve equitable access to quality healthcare by encouraging the use of technologies such as telemedicine and enabling national portability of health services.<\/span><\/p>\n Secondly,<\/b> it will facilitate evidence-based decision making for effective public health interventions.<\/span><\/p>\n Lastly,<\/b> it will also help catalyze innovation and generate employment across the healthcare ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n Source<\/b>: This post is based on the article \u201c<\/b>Cabinet approves implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission<\/b>\u201d <\/b>published in PIB <\/b>on 28th February 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
