The <\/span>Bureau of Energy Efficiency(BEE) <\/span><\/a>commemorated its 20th Foundation Day by organising the National Innovation Conclave on Low Carbon Technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n The event showcased many low carbon technology innovations developed and validated with the support of the <\/span>Facility<\/span> for Low Carbon Technology Deployment(FLCTD) Project.<\/span><\/p>\n What is the Facility<\/b> for Low Carbon Technology Deployment(FLCTD) Project?<\/b><\/p>\n Launched in: <\/b>2016<\/span><\/p>\n Objective: <\/b>To <\/span>identify innovative energy efficiency and low carbon technology solutions that address the existing technology gaps in the Indian industrial and commercial sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n Implemented by:<\/b> United Nations Industrial Development Organisation(UNIDO) in collaboration with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency(BEE).<\/span><\/p>\n Funded by<\/b>: Global Environment Facility(GEF)<\/span><\/p>\n Under the Project, <\/span>annual innovation challenges<\/b> are conducted in the following six areas: Waste Heat Recovery, Space Conditioning, Pumps, Pumping Systems and Motors, Industrial IoT, Industrial Resource Efficiency and Electrical Energy Storage.<\/span><\/p>\n The winners of the challenge receive financial assistance of up to US$50,000<\/b> to validate their innovation and demonstrate its efficacy (performance) in actual field conditions \u2013 a necessary step before commercialization.<\/span><\/p>\n Source: <\/b>This post is based on the article <\/span>\u201c<\/b>BEE observes its 20th foundation day with the National Innovation Conclave on Low Carbon Technologies<\/b>\u201d <\/b>published in <\/span>PIB <\/b>on<\/span> 2nd March 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
