On International Women\u2019s Day, the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD) has launched a landmark campaign <\/span>Kanya Shikhsa Pravesh Utsav.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Launched by: <\/b>Ministry of Women and Child Development(MoWCD) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and UNICEF.<\/span><\/p>\n Purpose:<\/b> It is a campaign that aims to<\/span> a)<\/b> \u200b\u200bbring back out of school adolescent girls in India to the formal education and\/or skilling system and<\/span> b) <\/b>enhance enrolment and retention of girls between 11-14 years of age in school.<\/span><\/p>\n Umbrella Initiative: <\/b>The campaign has been rolled out under the umbrella of the <\/span>Beti Bachao Beti Padhao(BBBP) Initiative.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Key Features of the campaign: <\/b>Under the campaign, over 400 districts across all states will be funded under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme for outreach and awareness generation at the grassroots level to sensitize communities and families to enroll adolescents girls in schools.
