The Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has released the guidelines for the scheme \u201c<\/span>Strengthening of Pharmaceutical Industry (SPI)”<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n Aim: <\/b>To <\/span>strengthen the existing infrastructure facilities in order to make India a global leader in the Pharma Sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Components of the Scheme: <\/b>The scheme has 3 components\/sub-schemes:<\/span><\/p>\n Assistance to Pharmaceutical Industry for Common Facilities (APICF):<\/b> It aims to strengthen the existing pharmaceutical clusters\u2019 capacity for their sustained growth by creating common facilities. <\/span>Financial assistance<\/b> will be provided for creation of Common Facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n Pharmaceutical Technology Upgradation Assistance Scheme (PTUAS):<\/b> It aims to facilitate Micro, Small and Medium Pharma Enterprises (MSMEs) with a proven track record to meet national and international regulatory standards.
