The Union Minister of Culture has informed Lok Sabha about the <\/span>ongoing schemes run by the Ministry of Culture <\/span>to promote and disseminate art & Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n Centenaries and Anniversaries Scheme: <\/b>The scheme commemorates centenaries and special anniversaries such as the 125<\/span>th<\/span>\/150<\/span>th<\/span> of eminent personalities and events of historical importance to the country. The commemoration starts on the completion of 100\/125\/150 years and continues for a period of one year.<\/span><\/p>\n Kala Sanskriti Vikas Yojana(KSVY):<\/b> It is a Central Sector Scheme. Under the scheme, financial support is provided to drama, theatre groups, dance groups, music ensembles, folk theatre & music and other genres of performing art activities.<\/span><\/p>\n National Mission on Manuscripts: <\/b>Click Here to read<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n Development of Museum: <\/b>The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the State Governments, Autonomous bodies, Local Bodies, Societies and Trusts registered under the Societies Act for setting up new Museums as well as for the development of existing museums.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n National Mission on Libraries(NML): <\/b>The mission has the objective of establishing a National Virtual Library of India, establishment of Model Libraries, quantitative\/ qualitative survey of Libraries and capacity building.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Global Engagement and International Cooperation: <\/b>The scheme aims to a)<\/strong> Promote Indian Cultural abroad, b)<\/strong> Promote bilateral cultural contacts, c)<\/strong> Project India\u2019s cultural image abroad and d)<\/strong> Promote inbound tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n Source<\/b>: The post is based on an article \u201c<\/b>Schemes administered by the Ministry of Culture to promote and disseminate the art & Culture<\/b>\u201d <\/b>published in the PIB <\/b>on 21st March 2022<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
