On the Occasion of World TB Day, <\/span>the Union Minister of Science & Technology has announced the <\/span>launch of the \u201cDare2eraD TB\u201d program.<\/span><\/p>\n Launched by: <\/b>Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology.<\/span><\/p>\n Full-Form:<\/b> Dare2eraD TB stands for Data-Driven Research to Eradicate TB.<\/span><\/p>\n Components:<\/b> Dare2eraD TB will be the umbrella TB program of DBT, comprising the following key initiatives:<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 InTGS – Indian Tuberculosis Genomic Surveillance Consortium: <\/b>It is proposed on lines of the <\/span>Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Consortia (INSACOG).<\/span><\/a> It aims to monitor the genomic variations in <\/span>Mycobacterium tuberculosis<\/i><\/b>(Mtb)<\/b> on a regular basis through a multi-laboratory network\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 InTBK Hub-Indian TB Knowledge Hub- Webinar Series: <\/b>It will be a Webinar series starting from World TB Day that will create Academia-Industry connect to discuss challenges and exchange ideas and carry forward open innovations between all TB stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 Host Directed therapies against TB <\/b>and developing an evidence-based regimen for treating extra-pulmonary Tuberculosis.<\/span><\/p>\n Regional Prospective Observational Research in Tuberculosis (RePORT) India initiative: <\/b>It is a bilateral, multi-organizational, collaborative research effort established in 2013 under the Indo-US Vaccine Action Program(VAP).
