The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has informed Rajya Sabha about the <\/span>Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati(BPKP) Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n Launched by<\/b>: <\/span>Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare during 2020-21<\/span><\/p>\n Parent Scheme<\/b>: It is a sub-mission under the\u00a0centrally sponsored scheme<\/em>–\u00a0<\/span>Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana(PKVY).<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Aim: <\/b>To promote traditional indigenous practices which give freedom to farmers from externally purchased inputs.<\/span><\/p>\n Main Focus of the Scheme: <\/b>The scheme mainly focuses on the exclusion of all synthetic chemical inputs and promotes on-farm biomass recycling with major stress on biomass mulching, use of cow dung-urine formulations and other plant-based preparations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Financial Assistance<\/b>: Under BPKP, financial assistance of Rs. 12200\/ha for 3 years is provided for cluster formation, capacity building and continuous handholding by trained personnel, certification and residue analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n Achievements of the Scheme<\/b>: Until now, under natural farming, an area of 4.09 lakh ha area has been covered.
