The report has taken note of burning practices and techniques of indigenous peoples around the world as a method to control wildfire incidents.<\/span><\/p>\n Wildfires: <\/b>Climate change and land-use change are projected to make wildfires more frequent and intense, with a global increase of extreme fires of up to 14% by 2030, 30% by the end of 2050 and 50% by the end of the century.<\/span><\/p>\n The report calls on governments to adopt a new \u2018Fire Ready Formula\u2019, with two-thirds of spending devoted to planning, prevention, preparedness, and recovery, with one third left for a response.<\/p>\n Other suggestions of the report include:<\/strong><\/p>\n Fire has always played a significant role in the lives of many Indigenous peoples around the world.
