India and Australia have <\/span>signed the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement(ETCA).<\/span><\/p>\n Australia is the 17th largest trading partner of India, and India is Australia\u2019s 9th largest trading partner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n India and Australia are partners in the trilateral <\/span>Supply Chain Resilience Initiative (SCRI) <\/span><\/a>arrangement along with Japan, which seeks to enhance the resilience of supply chains in the Indo-Pacific Region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Further, India and Australia are also members of the <\/span>Quad<\/span><\/a> also comprising the US, and Japan, to further enhance cooperation and develop partnerships across several issues of common concern.<\/span><\/p>\n Zero Duty Access on Goods: <\/b>It provides zero-duty access to 96% of India\u2019s exports to Australia. This includes shipments from key sectors such as engineering goods, gems and jewellery, textiles, apparel and leather.<\/span><\/p>\n It also gives about 85% of Australia\u2019s exports zero-duty access to the Indian market, including coal, sheep meat and wool, and lower duty access on Australian wines, almonds, lentils, and certain fruits.<\/span><\/p>\n Indian Students<\/b>: Under the agreement, Indian graduates from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) will be granted extended post-study work visas.
