This suggests democracy in Pakistan is gradually finding its feet, albeit with some help from the military establishment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Pakistan Army still in Control: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Known to be the Pakistan Army\u2019s candidate, Imran Khan\u2019s government was widely referred to as a \u201chybrid regime\u201d. His ouster is a clear signal that the Pakistan Army is in \u201ccomplete control\u201d. It has shown that the power to change the prime minister still lies in Rawalpindi \u2014 the Pakistan Army\u2019s headquarters.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>How will this impact India-Pakistan relations?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next Prime Minister might be Shehbaz Sharif. This is important for India, as the Sharif family has always been very positive about improving relations with India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, at present, there are some green shoots in the otherwise troublesome India-Pakistan ties:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span><b> First<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/issue-of-ceasefire-violation-between-india-and-pakistan-explained-pointwise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ceasefire<\/a>, as agreed upon in February 2021 has largely been adhered to.
