The portal will alert the concerned insurance company and the details of the vehicles and owners can be fetched as it is linked to the Vaahan portal. Hence, the portal can reduce the paperwork related to the accident claim process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The portal \u200b\u200b<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be linked to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/govt-launches-road-accident-database\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Integrated Road Accident Database(iRAD)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/a> It<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0will also be linked to other government portals like <\/span><b>Vaahan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as it would help get access to information on driving license details and registration of vehicles.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Features of the portal<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The portal will have features to geo-tag the accident locations, giving automatic alerts to the concerned investigating officer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, it has provisions to upload photos and videos relating to the accident and damaged vehicles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apart from the state police, an engineer from the Public Works Department or the local body will receive an alert on his mobile device.
