Union Minister of Minority Affairs inaugurated<\/span> the 40th edition of the ‘Hunar Haat\u2019 in Mumbai.<\/span><\/p>\n Organized by: <\/b>Ministry of Minority Affairs under USTTAD (Upgrading the Skills & Training in Traditional Arts\/Crafts for Development) scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n Purpose<\/b>: It is an exhibition of handicrafts and traditional products made by artisans from minority communities.<\/span><\/p>\n Aim:<\/b> To <\/span>provide exposure and employment opportunities to various artisans, craftsmen and traditional culinary experts to display their handmade and indigenous products.<\/span><\/p>\n Significance<\/b>: Hunar Haat <\/span>has proved to be immensely beneficial and encouraging for artisans and craftsmen as lakhs of people visit the \u201cHunar Haat\u201d and purchase indigenous handmade products of artisans on a large scale.<\/span><\/p>\n Launched by<\/b>: <\/span>Ministry of Minority Affairs in 2015<\/span><\/p>\n Type<\/b>: It is a 100% Central sector scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n Aim: <\/b>To preserve the rich heritage of traditional arts\/crafts of minorities.<\/span><\/p>\n Objectives: <\/b>1)<\/strong> To build capacity and upgrade the traditional skills of master craftsmen\/artisans, 2)<\/strong> To document identified traditional arts\/crafts of minorities, 3)<\/strong> To train minority youths in various identified traditional arts\/crafts and 4)<\/strong> To develop national and international market linkages.<\/span><\/p>\n Source: <\/b>This post is based on the article<\/span> \u201c<\/b>Union Minister inaugurates 40th ‘Hunar Haat\u2019 in Mumbai<\/b>\u201d <\/b>published in<\/span> PIB on 17th April 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
